Artwork: Chang'e

The colours in this piece are the first element the viewer notices, they are both harmonious and vibrant. Jo has an amazing eye for colour, and the movement she creates, draws the viewer into her serene depiction. The small moon on the figures forehead, and the delicate flowers, gives this piece a feminine air. The woman is standing under the stars, being blown gently by a spring breeze. The sense of the wind on the skin, is a powerful, intoxicating, response created by this image. Leaving the viewer feeling happy, and somewhat ruffled, by the experience.

Artwork: Untitled Emotions

Diela is the master of bold, exciting patterns, her experience creating textiles is evident in her creations. This image has a beautiful balance between the complex pattern, on the figures clothing, and the simple pink background and minimalist hair. The viewers eye is drawn from the complex to the peaceful and back again as if they swim in the coral filled ocean and then return to the shore to rest. The vibrant colours speak of cocktail umbrellas and paper lanterns. This image is like a holiday for the soul and it is indeed hard to return to reality after this blissful escape.

Artwork: Untitled

This luminous image is made dramatic by the use of a dense black background, the figure seems to be encircled by a coil of light or flame . The girls eyes are closed and her lips parted as if the experience is a pleasurable one. Perhaps the artist is glimpsing some future form of teleportation. This image has a futuristic feel to it and the other pieces in this yet unminted series have a similar Sci-Fi appeal.  The viewer is caught up in the motion of the work and it gives the piece a beautiful synergy between motion and stillness.

Artist: Thari H.

X Profile: @opus_cula

Artwork: Untitled

This work is such a beautiful creation by the artist, Thari,  with the naïve simplicity which is so enchanting in her pieces. The red and orange background gives the pink and dark blue figure, and the yellow butterfly, an exquisite backdrop. The colours almost clash, in the best possible way, which brings a joyfulness to the image. The viewer gets the feeling that the artist revels in her creations and, because of this, the viewer is left feeling gleeful, like a child running through a field of long grass flying a magnificent, multicoloured, kite.

Artist: Ponse Lakiva

X Profile: @PonseLakiva

Artwork: Aetherius

Surely this must be a goddess we spy reclining in a bubble, surrounded by birds and butterflies. This piece by Ponse is romantic and feminine like a Pre-Raphaelite painting. The blue rose cushions the lovely figure and the stars in the background enhance the ethereal nature of the work. The juxtaposition between the classical representation and the modern digital medium is lovely. As if a slice of art history has found its way onto the  blockchain. It reminds the viewer that each artist is influenced by a long line of predecessors, many of whom were breaking new ground and pushing back barriers just like the artists of today.

Artist: Proneftium

X Profile: @proneftium

Artwork: Korina

This piece is both bold, and abstract, in a very pleasing way. The artwork has a strength to it which is reminiscent of advertising during the Second World War. The figure seems to exude a stoic presence and the bold, abstract, elements give her a majestic countenance. The vibrant colours, like that of a carnival or fair, create a playful element that is at odds with the serious figure. The tension this creates in the image is lovely and the viewer is left wondering and trying to piece these opposing narratives together.

Artist: Avenue

Artwork: Luna

The eyes of this work stare directly back at the viewer in a mesmerizing fashion, pulling us towards her like a cunning hypnotist. The perfect symmetry, except for the central moon element and the jewellery, is satisfying and strangely unnerving. Like all of Avenues work, it is exquisite in every detail. The sheen on the pearls,  the sharpness of the spikes, the delicate foliage and flowers. All these gorgeous embellishments create such beauty and yet the figure, with its almost disembodied head, feels sacred rather than decorative. It has the feel of a religious relic rather than something frivolous or ornamental.

Artist: Zeta Kappaacca

X Profile: @zetakappaacca

Art work: Huwa

This piece by Zeta is reminiscent of the work by Gustav Klimt in it's fluid lines and decorative elements. The figure seems relaxed, almost bored, especially when the viewer notices the cigarette in her hand. Her casual pose is mirrored in the draping hair and the open robe. This beautiful, casual, young woman exudes confidence and a lazy weekend kind of vibe. The mosaic style embellishments create interest and give the piece an art deco type flair.  The viewer is entranced by the mood of the work  with the juxtaposition of the casual and the intricate elements.

Artist: Oya

X Profile: @OzsenOya

Artwork: Passing & Glassing

These two gorgeous young women entrance the viewer with their direct, unapologetic gaze. Their eyes align vertically in the composition, which is both unusual and compelling. They are swathed in clouds and adorned with a background of colourful, intricate, ribbons of colour. Their black hair pools around them, blending with the background and cushioning their heads. The piece reminiscent of the work of Paul Gauguin with his love of Tahitian beauties. They seem to create a landscape with their bodies, are they women or islands? Either way, they are exceptionally lovely.
