Artwork: Untitiled

Anna-Maria's work has a subtle luminous quality to it, as if the small star above the figures head radiates warmth. The decorative element, around her neck, has a surreal beauty to it, incorporating flowers with eyeballs and tongues, even a cigarette. This piece is playful and unique, creating a joyful experience for the viewer. It is reminiscent of Tamara De Lempicka's work with the sensual, glowing female figure and the stylised elegance of the clothing and jewelry.

Artist: Rensi Ardinta

Artwork: The Abyss

There is something excitingly unique about Rensi's pieces, with their unusual colour palette which is both vibrant and restrained. In this piece the figure appears in some anguish, her skin appears to be cut with eyes peering out of her. The eyes seep a black substance, smoke or steam from the corners. The figure is being captured by flowers, perhaps they are eating her or drawing her down into some form of vegetative hell. This piece is stunningly beautiful and sinister at the same time and Rensi is such a poignant storyteller.

Artwork: False Holiness

This image is wonderfully abstract and yet it has a clear subject and a very recognisable theme. The figure, which appears to be masculine, looks sternly from the centre of the work. He is wreathed by light, presumably a halo,  half of his face is black as if in shadow. The artwork is very balanced and the piece is pleasingly composed. The title False Holiness gives the viewer confirmation of the overt religious connotations and  sets the viewer wondering about who, or what, is false.

Artist: Namitha Raveendranathan

Artwork: Hope

The colours in this artwork instantly grab the viewers attention. The vibrant reds, yellows and blues create such an impact. The subtle white breeze and the birds create a feeling of movement and juxtapose pleasingly with the dark figure in the centre of the composition. Namitha is the queen of bright colour combinations and she uses colour in such an unusual way. Her skill to depict an almost dream like image is fantastic. This piece is both captivating and peaceful in the same moment.

Artist: Din Burns

Artwork: Fear of Rejection

The eyes in this piece are so emotive, what do you see? Fear, guilt, shame, surprise? The viewer is drawn to the eyes and then the posture of this figure. He stands meekly, like a boy caught stealing candy, his cheeks slightly pink from embarrassment. The title Fear of Rejection gives the viewer conformation of the emotional state of the subject. The fingerprint that swirls over his body, and makes up the background, gives a beautifully subdued feeling to the overall piece. As if the figure wishes to disappear in his embarrassment.  Din has created such a fabulous artwork.

Artist: Stulka

X Profile: @_stulka

Artwork: The Lost Kurta

Stulka's piece has a gorgeous naïve quality to it, with the stylised stars and the checkered border. The figure, with the bunny ears on their head, looks mournfully out of the image. The jumper and hat have a wonderful woolliness to them , perhaps they itch and that is why the subject looks so forlorn.  The image has the feeling of childhood about it, maybe a combination of the bright colours and the unwilling woolen wearer. It is quirky and pleasing in it's nostalgia.

Artist: Postwook Natasha

X Profile: @POSTWOOK

Artwork: Lunar Highway

This road, heading into the multicoloured mountains, draws the viewer into this piece and creates a feeling of escape, as if we are heading off on a road trip into the unknown. The moon sits full and red above the horizon and the night sky is ablaze with stars. This piece has a collage feel to it which works nicely with the road trip theme. It would make a fantastic record cover from the 70's with its psychedelic mountains and it's road to nowhere vibes. Natasha has created a beautiful, nostalgic piece.

Artist: Thari H.

X Profile: @opus_cula

Artwork: Trinkets

The costume on this gorgeous young woman is breathtaking. The details in the fabric mesmerize the viewer with the beautiful colours and delightful designs. The figure stands tall, displaying her costume with pride. Her hair is such an intense red and her skin is pearlescent. Her head is wreathed by leaves as if she is a goddess or a wood nymph. The flowers adorn her shoulder and skirt. She is simply stunning and, once again, Thari has created a beautiful, delicately detailed image.

Artist: Alexandra Oz

X Profile: @Alexandra__Oz

Artwork: Nymphaea aqua

This piece has a lovely sense of movement to it, as if the figure is a ballet dancer in the midst of a pirouette. Her face seems to be deep in contemplation the way dancers faces look when they concentrate on a difficult movement. The orange element around her  shoulders, perhaps a costume, have a floral feel to it. This piece has a lovely tranquil atmosphere to it and gives the viewer a sense of calm reverence.
