About NFT Weekly

NFT Weekly began as a way of discovering and sharing the work of artists working in the NFT space.

Today, it is becoming something more.

The NFT movement changed quickly. Artists appeared, communities formed, new technologies emerged and ideas about digital art, ownership and collecting moved into the mainstream. Much of it was documented in the moment, before anyone knew where it was heading.

NFT Weekly was there during those early years, and the archive has become part of that history.

The aim now is to preserve it.

NFT Weekly documents the artists, people, projects, ideas and moments that shaped the development of NFT and digital art. Some became well known. Others disappeared from view. Some ideas lasted. Others did not.

All of them are part of the story.

The original articles are being preserved alongside new writing, artist features, interviews and historical research. The intention is not to rewrite the past with what we know now, but to look back at what was happening, who was there and what people were thinking at the time.

NFT Weekly is a living archive of a movement that is still evolving.

To remember where digital art has been, understand where it is now, and keep a record of where it might go next.
